Not a super refined lanolin
This is in an easy-to-pocket tube, but it does have a bit of a smell and taste to it, especially when it is warm in my pocket all day. Darker yellow color and not as refined as the purple tube I get from the big box store. But it’s convenient and moisturizes/protects the same.

Great product
Used 1st time today and my lips have been so dry and chapped and it helped so much! It has the consistency of Vaseline or aquaphor but every time I use those after a while they wore off. This product actually seemed to soak into my lips leaving them much kore moisturized than when I woke up. I’m sure with repeated use my lips will stay moisturized!

LOVE THIS BALM!!!
Best ever lip balm!!! I was using all different brands of chapstick when my lips were unusually chapped and they hurt and nothing worked. I was putting it on every 15 minutes. I remembered I used lanolin when I was nursing:) It worked wonders. So glad I found this. It works fast on chapped lips but it’s great for everyday use as well.

Best lip moisturizer
I love this lip moisturizer. I’m to years old and have the lips of a 30 year old. I put this on thick with lip brush every night before been. Keeps my lips and surroundinga area soft and plump. This use to come in pink tube and was called lip balm. I don’t care whet its called I love it.

Literally use for Everything
Chapped lips? DLNB. Peeling nose? DLNB. Razor burn? Cracked heels? Painful hemorrhoid? Diaper rash? Hot spots? DLNB. Seriously – this stuff works on everything for yourself, you kids, your spouse, even your dog. Just use sparingly; it’s costly but worth every penny.

Best lip balm ever
I sleep with a fan directly in front of my face and this stuff is still on my lips in the morning. It has no taste or smell and it’s not goopy/sticky. I highly recommend this balm.

Bottle more than half empty!
I love this product and the way it keeps my lips from chapping in the winter air . This time when I open the box I noticed the container was only 1/3 of the way full after I pushed the air out. I expect to get what I pay for so I’m hoping they will send me a full one and take this one back.This is an excellent product😄

Temporary smoothness
It only keeps lips soft while the product is on; will not buy again as it had no lasting results and gives the same result as inexpensive vaseline.

Not what it once was??!!
This was one of my favorite lip balms many years ago and I was excited to see it available when searching for lip balm options. Something has been done to reformulate this product. It’s caused my lips to become chapped vs soothing, which is a HUGE disappointment. Had I not used it in the past I would have chalked it up to not being ideal for myself. However now, after reading reviews, it seems I am not the only one to find this rather amazing lip balm from years ago. Had now changed into one that actually CAUSES chapped lips vs healing them.

Dry lip fix
My lips are constantly peeling, I feel more so than the average person. It’s a vicious battle.. leave them alone and feel/look dry, or use chapstick that could exaggerate the problem but fix the dry look momentarily. This stuff is the first to actually improve my peeling. Put it on at night before bed. I love that it’s no gross taste like other lip repair products.

Works Awesome
Exactly as advertised. I just didn’t realize how small an ounce was. I got it for my wife to take on a cruise to the Bahamas. Specifically for dry lips, nips, chaffing, and sunburn. My wife has more melanin than me & never experienced a sun burn so I wanted a good product just in case. We were in the middle of winter & I had really bad chapped lips. I wanted to see if it really worked. Once it warmed up on my lips, I realized I used too much! The product size now made sense. Healed my lips overnight. The report from the Bahamas was the product was amazing! My wife was hesitant to take female body advice from a man. However, when the other women with other products, that didn’t work, asked what she was using and then raved about it. I actually got kudos! I even added the tinted ones for the trip. Same results, same kudos.

Best Lip Balm Ever
This lip balm is absolutely the best! I have been dealing with dry cracked lips for several weeks due to medication I was taking. I tried every other lip balm available. Then I order Dr. Lipp and after two days my lips are normal again!! Never need to buy anything else.

Effective
This is the fourth time I’ve purchased the 0.5oz container, and I will probably buy it again. I received a mini tube of Dr Lipp’s original nipple balm in a subscription box a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. I put a dot or two on my lips at night before bed, and it works as well or better than a certain famous K-beauty overnight lip mask I have (without the animal testing!!!). I wake up 7-8 hours later still feeling like I just put on lip balm. I’m an ICU nurse, and my hands get destroyed in the winter with non-stop sanitizing and hand washing. When the dry skin gets particularly bad, I put just enough Dr Lipp in between my fingers to rub together before bed, and I wake up the next day with noticeably smoother hands and minimal dry skin. Sure, I wish it could cost less per oz-there certainly are other brands that do- but I know exactly how well this stuff works.

Only “chapstick” that works
I deal with very dry skin in general, but especially on my lips during the winter. While there’s a lot of delicious flavored chapsticks on the market, I unfortunately can’t get relief from dry lips with most of these products. I got a sample of this in a beauty sampler and was blown away how well it worked overnight. A layer of this on my lips overnight, and I wake up with softer, more comfortable skin. It often takes more than one application at night (and throughout the day), but I haven’t found a product that works as well for seriously chapped lips during the winter.

Not the best value for the money compared to NOW pure Lanolin
I have very chapped lips. I have now tested 3 different products, plus compared them all to Now Pure Lanolin.Lanolips is one of my favorites, only need a very small amount and although it’s thick, it seems to heal and has a slight gloss. It seems more pure than Now brand. It does not have a slanted applicator, but will be carrying this in my purse and one at home.Dr. Lips Original Nipple Balm is thicker on the lips like Now Brand, but has a slanted edge to apply, but I find the best purpose is for very dry skin, which one can get from the Now brand for a lot less.Lansinoh Lanolin Lip Balm is very good too, easy to carry in pocket or purse. It isn’t as thick as the others, but is glossy, I have found I have to reapply more often, but has a slanted applicator, so very easy to use, I bought the small package that comes in a 4 pack, so very handy to have for purse and around the house.Out of all 3, I like Lanolip’s the best for very chapped lips and also very dry skin.

Way too small
I haven’t even tried it yet but the container is way too small for the price. Not only that, the tube is only about half full upon opening. Already a terrible impression. If it works I’ll get the bigger version, but if not i’m never buying again, this is a hilariously small amount

Wonderful Product!!
This was suggested to me by a coworker. She saw that I used Carmex religiously and told me it was actually bad for my lips. After hearing what she had to say and looking into it, I made the swap to this. I am absolutely loving it so far! Carmex doesn’t even feel the same anymore!

Hey! Where’s the rest of my balm?! :/
The balm just came in the mail about an hour ago, so I can’t speak to the product’s longterm effects yet. (I’ll update in a few weeks… if I remember!)For now, I’m giving it 3 stars because:1) It has absolutely NO smell or taste. NONE.2) It feels really nice and it’s long lasting! I put it on as soon as I opened it (an hour ago) and it’s still nice and “thick,” but not too thick at all. If I used more, I’m sure it’d be like I’d just put on a different brand of heavy lip balm.3) The box was packaged very well with quality outer plastic and another seal under the cap. Both were really hard to remove/tamper with. Although it was annoying to open initially, I appreciate that I can be sure that I’m the 1st person to open it!However… I’m deducting 2 stars because:***THE TUBE IS ONLY HALF FULL!!!***I looked for a “contents are measured by weight, not volume” note on the packaging, but found nothing. I have plenty of other products with tubes just like this one and they’ve always been FULL. For the price of this stuff, I don’t think this is acceptable! What’s up with this, Dr. Lipp?!

I have THE worst problem keeping my lips supple and hydrated. (Don’t we all think we have the worst?) I have a stash of every lip product on the market or so I thought. I received this in one of my monthly beauty boxes and loved thesassy name. The minute I tried it on my lips, I was hooked. I put it on before bed and was pleased to wake up to normal happy lips. I love the shine that it leaves on your lips during the day, so I’ve taken to applying stains and then applying Dr. Lipp over the lip stain. I haven’t tried it on any other bits though.😆 If you haven’t tried this, I think you will be pleased all around just for keeping your lips naturally gorgeous. From there, who knows how else you may find it useful?

What more can be said? This is hands down the best not just for nipples and lips, but also a small amount rubbed between the hands makes for a great hand moisturizer. Stays on lips throughout the night and there is still a light film of it in the morning when I wake up. Very happy with this balm.

I have been using Dr. Lipp for years now as a lip balm. It is the only product I ever found that helps with my very dry lips. It is expensive but worth it and I always keep a supply in the house. I also rub a bit of it into my nails and cuticles when they are looking dry or brittle. The only slight negative is that in cooler weather it will turn a whitish color if you are wearing it on your lips outdoors.

I’ve been a fan of this stuff since I first received it from Birchbox several years ago. It’s a great moisturizer for your lips but it also works great for your cuticles and any rough dry patches of skin. Definitely recommend!!

Great lip balm
This is the only lip treatment that keeps my lips hydrated and soft. It is very hard to find now. The tubes are now smaller but the same price., but since it’s hard to find, I ordered it anyway because it’s a great product.

Ignore the name – this stuff is great!
I wish the giant word “NIPPLE” wasn’t on the front of the bottle – my teenager loves this stuff but is mortified to take it out of the their backpack so they put a big sticker over the front to cover up the word. We have been using this for years – it’s the best lip balm out there! There is no flavor and it is highly moisturizing. It is expensive but it lasts for a very long time.

First balm that doesn’t make my lips peel or crack
I’ve tried everything it seems and nothing has ever stopped the dryness and peeling of entire sheets of skin from my lips until I tried this. I’ve tried a few brands but this one is by far the best for me. It’s VERY thick but doesn’t smear off, doesn’t easily wipe away, and doesn’t turn white like some do. Highly recommend if nothing else has ever worked.

Buy Lanolin in a big tube for cheaper.
Check the baby section. It’s used for soreness from breastfeeding. I wish I knew years ago. It’s a excellent product. My lips are so soft. But why not buy a big tube of it for way less? No scent, perfect for elbows, lips, any dry skin areas.
