Fell right out of the case
I was showing a coworker how nice the compact was and it fell right out of the case, fell to the floor and broke. Mineral makeup in pieces on the floor. It is a nice product but it shouldn’t of been able to fall out.

Good substitute for expensive department store brands
I quit using my department store beauty brand and decided to try this after using an app to get a color match. Surprise! I like it better than the more expensive brand. It provides better coverage, the color match is perfect and it’s $20 less! What’s not to like?

I love the product….
But I was a little discouraged because I thought I bought the wrong color when I applied it but didn’t check the box or compact. Day 2 of use…I was shaking my head again and then checked the box. What do you know, they sent me the wrong color 🙄. I ordered the color porcelain and was sent the color golden medium. This will definitely be going back. Besides the color mixup I’m extremely happy with how little product goes a long way, the texture is not caked on when building coverage also. Hope this helps someone who doesn’t have the option to send it back to check and make sure you were sent the color you ordered before applying and also, scratching your head what went wrong ☺️

Love this stuff!
At 50, I still get blemishes and have some skin discoloration from years of sun-worshipping. This Pur powder is just what I needed! I don’t like to wear makeup, so the lightness of the powder is perfect. I brush this on before work (hot, sweaty, running waitress) and my skin tone is evened out, blemishes are invisible and nothing gathers in the fine creases. Looks great, lasts all night.

Light but full coverage
Lovely shade . Perfect for me. Easy to put on. It’s light but a total full coverage look. It doesn’t look matte , it doesn’t look caked , I’m an older woman and it’s smooth and beautiful. My skin is very fair and I don’t need much. This is perfect

Ended up loving it
For reference I ordered the color light, I am 31 years old, oily/combo skin, freckles and fair neutral skin. I have both pink and yellow tones in my skin. I took a wild guess ordering the color light and it blends well with my fair skin! I posted a few pictures, sorry the lighting isn’t great but I figured it was better than nothing. My hands are a little red in the pictures because it’s been cold outside. In the picture I am wearing one light layer of this foundation only. I am typically one of the fairest shades in most foundations sold. If you go to the PUR site they have a color matching tool both by matching from another foundation shade you have used (what I used) or also by a virtual try on. I also searched YouTube videos and googled pictures of the shade light to see if it would match. Now on to what I think about the actual foundation. When I first tried on the foundation I must say I wasn’t overly impressed. Like I mentioned I have freckles and I am used to a more full coverage foundation. The coverage is pretty light (on initial try on) and I didn’t think it was doing much at first. I’m not used to powder foundation. I wanted to try a mineral foundation because I’ve been having hormonal breakouts and I thought it may help. So I gave the foundation another few chances with a different more dense flat top foundation brush and also I put on two layers. I ended up really liking the coverage that way. I’ve used it with and without foundation primer. I like it with the bare minerals primer. When comparing this to bare minerals I like them both. I feel like bare minerals has more coverage with one layer. With the PUR I have to build it up more for coverage, but I don’t have an issue with that. In bare minerals I’ve worn both the shades fairly light and golden fair. This PUR is way more convenient and less messy than bare minerals. It does really well with my oily/combo skin type. It looks natural and overall very flattering. With any powder foundation I have to make sure my peach fuzz on my face is removed. That’s just me. I don’t think powder foundation looks flattering on me with peach fuzz on my face. All it takes is a little nair, no big deal. I am a mom of toddlers and this powder foundation is fast and easy when you get the hang of it. I love the idea of mineral foundation. I have noticed my skin has gotten better since wearing it every day in comparison to heavy liquid foundation. If coverage is what you are after I would suggest a dense flat top foundation brush or beauty sponge. Real techniques makes a great powder foundation sponge that I love and it gives great coverage with this foundation. I never thought I would be converted to mineral powder foundation after using liquid for so long but I absolutely love it. It feels so light and nice on your skin in comparison to heavy liquid. It also looks natural. I would describe the finish as a natural semi-matte or stain finish. It’s not overly matte and flat. It doesn’t make my skin oily which is a big thing for me because I have an oily t-zone. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like this foundation claims to have great coverage, but in actuality you have to build it up to get more full coverage. My favorite thing about this foundation is I can throw it in my bag if I’m running late along with a powder brush and throw it on in the car really easily. This is essential for me as a busy mom! Most days I put this foundation on that way and hardly even look in the mirror at what I’m doing. Lol!

Found it!
Have been looking for a replacement for a previous brand that was perfect for me but they stopped making all the fairer shades. This one does exactly what I need: coverage without emphasizing my wrinkles, does not cake, applies evenly with either brush or sponge.

The Compact is small does not last long – equal products available at much cheaper price
Does not cover age spots on your face to you have to put foundation on first before using this product. It does go on nice and looks nice but the compact has such little product that for the price there are many equal products at 1/3 the price.

Easy to use, nice to wear
A cake that’s not cakey – goes on easily with a kabuki style brush and really stays on all day. Good coverage – not sheer but not too thick. Very natural looking and after two weeks of use, no skin issues so that’s a plus!

Exceptional
I have always been blessed with great skin and what most people call natural beauty. However, I have low self esteem so makeup has been a must in my life. Now that I’ve grown to love myself I’ve tried every kind of makeup in the world to get the coverage I need in certain areas but the sheer glow all over. This is the answer to all those issues. It’s 4 in 1 combo gives me the coverage without being heavy and cakey. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines around my eyes and it gives my skin a nice natural finish without looking like makeup. The shades available are the closest to my skin tone that I’ve found. With green eyes and blonde hair my skin burns but it also tans….ima fair ivory unless I’m in the sun, then I’m a medium. This let’s me blend the product to match me perfectly. I will promote this product everywhere.

This powder foundation makeup is great.Only problem was with the packaging.I’ve ordered two times and both times it was shipped in a plastic shipping bag with no cushion to prevent breaking.Second purchase was received and was cracked but useable.Need better shipping packaging.

Great finish, clean ingredients
I use the shade Golden Medium and it works great for my light-medium sensitive -dry skin. What I love about this product are the clean ingredients, and excellent shade range. I fluctuate between medium to tan depending on summer/winter and buy both golden medium and light tan shades- both are great! Unlike other powders with SPF, it doesn’t have a gray undercast. It doesn’t oxidize, stays true to its shade all day. I typically wear it from 7 am to 7 pm without a need for reapplication. I recently gave Bare Minerals Bare Pro a try but that powder settles into the fine lines around my eyes and isn’t as soft and buttery as this one. While I love bare minerals products, when it comes to powders, this is an all around winner!

PUR Brightens Up My Complexion
This past summer was too hot for conventional foundation so PUR was the perfect solution. It doesn’t smear my clothes, my fingers or feel sticky with a light application. It’s light and defuses the heat wonderfully. I’m sold!

Terrible delivery
I really like this product. It goes on smoothly and has good coverage. My problem was in shipping. I ordered porcelain and received a different color. I sent it back and requested it to be reordered. It arrived quickly but the same wrong color. I returned it and canceled my order. I then ordered it from someone else and received the correct color. The product is very good but this is the first time I had had this problem with Amazon.

I never believed in mineral makeup before
Back story: ever since I was about 12 (which is a long time ago), I was a Cover Girl pressed powder chick. Creamy Natural all the way, baby! No other powder matched my skin tone–or lack thereof–so well, nor did any other effectively cover my myriad of skin nightmares–cystic acne, scars, melasma, etc.Well, after 30-odd years of fighting with genetically lousy skin, I took the plunge and invested in laser treatments, specifically looking to obliterate the coffee-like patches of melasma on my forehead and the sad number of scars left from deep, extremely painful acne. The laser treatments were the catalyst for my switch to mineral makeup; I will never again use the regular stuff. When you’re healing from laser treatments, you can’t use just any makeup–you either go without (WHAT THE WHAT?!), or you must use mineral makeup. Unlike traditional makeup, mineral makeup is antibacterial and therefore safe to use on a face that’s just been blasted by a laser. Mineral makeup is made from rocks and doesn’t harbor bacteria. This kind of makeup also requires a slightly different touch in application because if done with too heavy a hand, it looks awful and can age you.I used to use Bare Minerals–which I also like–but I just could not find a good match in their product for my insanely light skin. Their powders either made me look like a ghost, or the powder made me look like I fell asleep in a vat of self-tanner. I received a tiny pot of Pur Minerals powder as a gift and decided to give it a try, since I was on the hunt for a replacement to Bare Minerals.I love Pur and won’t use anything else. The light shade matches my skin tone perfectly and is amazing at obliterating rudiness. When used in conjunction with their concealer, I get a great, seamless finish and don’t have to do my makeup all the way to my collarbones to look right. It’s easy to apply, easy to love, and has replaced every other powder I ever kept in my arsenal. My skin doesn’t break out a tenth as much as it used to, and that’s thanks to mineral makeup. If you’re wary about buying makeup over the internet, I get that. Go to Ulta and look at the shades in person to decide what works for you, then come back here and buy through Amazon. Much as I love Ulta, this Pur Minerals powder is often 2-3 dollars cheaper here and is a Prime item. What’s not to love?

The color is different than my sample size
I had a received a sample of this stuff in an Ipsy bag. I absolutely loved it. The color was perfect, coverage was great. It barely took any product to get the job done. I bought this full size after I ran out my sample and sadly the color is a bit different and so is the coverage. It takes way more to achieve half of what the sample did.

Feels just like bare minerals. Really nice pressed powder, buildable coverage and good for acne prone skin, feels like wearing nothing at all!It does tend to dry out skin if you put way too much on but that’s any powder I guess.

I love it…BUT I wish it were safer/healthier.
I have been back and forth for the past 8 years, trying to find the perfect foundation… but I always come back to this. There just isn’t anything out there that works better for me. When I first started using this product, I had a pretty bad case of psoriasis on my face. I had dry skin, what looked like acid burns, and tons of tiny irritated acne. I was also very active, and did not want anything that was going to clog my pores. I was able to completely cover all these problems with applying heavier foundation on those areas. It did not make my dry skin appear flaky like a lot of liquid foundations and powders do. I could go to sleep with it on sometimes, and not have to worry about my condition getting worse. This product feels amazing on you. I wear a lot of black clothing and suits. There have been many times with other products where I will rub my face and then rub my clothes, and it will leave a skin colored streak. Not to mention, my hand feels like it needs to be washed. I do not think this product is as bad. There may be some minimal rubbing off, but it won’t feel greasy and my hand looks clean after touching my face. This product does not come with a make-up sponge pad. I suggest buying one that is more supple and less sheer to get the best coverage.I always try to be aware when I use anything with harsh chemicals. I tested this foundation on the Environmental Working Group – Skin Deep website, and found that this scored level 5 on a 1 – 10 scale of harsh chemicals (10 being the worst). The worst chemical in this is Retinol (synthetic Vitamin A. This chemical is rated at 9 on the 10 scale! “Use restrictions, Developmental/reproductive toxicity, Biochemical or cellular level changes, Cancer, Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive)). It is bad for you if you have too much, especially if you are pregnant. So, just keep this in mind if you are trying to only use good-for-you products. Don’t believe things are good for you just because they say PUR Minerals… As for me, when I am pregnant, I probably won’t wear anything, since everything these days is bad for you. I haven’t found a healthier product on the market that will give me what I want. If I do find one, I will make a switch.I would like to ask PUR Minerals to look into the chemicals they are using, and try to find alternative, healthier ways to deliver the same look and feel that we have come to expect from them. It seems to me like they are gearing their market towards women who like organic, natural make-up, yet they harbor these unnecessary harsh chemicals like Retinol. I would be a customer for life if they would modify their recipes to make their products healthier.

Probably my new makeup!
I am very picky about foundation and I go through phases…..for some periods of time I prefer powder, then other periods of time liquid. Several years ago I wore itCosmetics Celebration Foundation and I loved it, but over time things changed and it appeared darker/heavier on my face. My latest was Mary Kay liquid foundation and I’d top it with Estée Lauder Double Wear powder. Beautiful! But this summer I was ready to change again, ha ha! I ordered the Thrive Causemetics CC Cream and it’s okay but I have to top it with a powder to get the look I desire. I really prefer one step instead of two! I came across this online and decided to give it a try. Today was my first day to wear it; I’ll see how it holds up but I am very impressed with the coverage and how it looks! I LOVE that it has SPF in it!

Research shade
This product seems like it will work great on people who have very pink undertones. I have pale skin with olive/ warm undertones and this looks very strange on me as my face doesn’t match my body and it makes my neck almost look like it glows yellow/ brown in comparison. I did not see any written color descriptions and tried to match based on what appeared to be close to my tone. Don’t do that. If it matched my skin tone I think it would look very natural.

THRILLED!
I had been using Larenim pressed mineral makeup for about 30 years. Now it’s no longer available unless you can find somebody selling one with a weird color. The ingredients were wonderful! People used to ask me all the time But I was wearing because it just gives you a flawless complexion with a bookie brush very easy to use! Well if I know they were gonna stop making the product I would have purchased a case before they did. This does equally as well as my beloved Larenim. The 1st color was too light but thank God for Amazon prime it wasn’t used at centennit wasn’t used I sent it back and ordered the next shade up and that was perfect. As long as you don’t use it you just look at the color you can see if it’s too light or dark because the pictures on the website are not accurate. Highly recommend will be purchasing again and again.

Blends perfectly
I was not sure I was going to like this foundation. I have always used liquid foundation. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it just blended onto my skin. I like that I do not have to use a setting powder which cuts down on the cost of how much I spend on makeup! That is a big plus!

I was disappointed it looked orange
Ok, I bought the lightest shade, porcelain. When I first opened it, I was disappointed it looked orange. But,…even though they REALLY SHOULD MAKE A LIGHTER SHADE….I was pleasantly surprised that not only did it NOT make me look like an orange or oxidize when I applied it, it actually gave me a peaches n cream kind of look to the skin. It is NOT a flat powder, and it will give a nice finished soft glow to the skin, which is what I like my powders to do. AND I like them on the light side. That’s why I would love it even more if they would just make a lighter shade. Call it Ghost for all I care. So, If you really want a porcelain doll look, this is not the shade for you. BUT, the performance is wonderful. It is on the dry side and does NOT have the creamy buttery texture of some other powder foundations. But if I liked those, then I wouldn’t have sought to try this one. Oily girls like me might be surprised that they can deal with this for more than 5-6 hours without having to worry about touch-ups. AND even with touch-ups, it did not cake on me. I really like this one. It seems to work well with my skin. Not perfect in shade, but I like it. I would purchase again. Just one other thing, they really need to make a separate compartment for a puff/sponge. Come on guys, this isn’t dollar store make-up. Some of us use and carry puffs with our compact powders, not fluffy brushes.

Great product
I really like this product. It never looks cakey, it doesn’t dry out my skin yet it covers the shine and gives a nice sheer smooth finish. As another reviewer has said, it doesn’t last all day. That might be the only drawback. I definitely noticed that after five or six hours it could use a re-application. Otherwise, I’d say it’s a perfect product for me. bonus that it has SPF!

Product great! Just get it from someone else
I have ordered the porcelain color 3 times and have received the MN5 (medium) each time. With the last one being opened and used. I’m so frustrated because I love this foundation, but there is no way that a medium base color is anywhere close to a porcelain base. Plus used makeup is very unsanitary, and shouldn’t be sold. This is definitely a “buyer beware” situation.

Settles into fine lines and wrinkles
I like the powder and the coverage, it’s good for sensitive skin, but it doesn’t last. This powder quickly sets into fine lines and wrinkles, and looks cakey on the skin. I Never Had Brand Loyalty Before Pur Minerals!
When it came to makeup, for a very long time I would try lots of different products. I have Irish coloring (red and white) and have often had difficulty matching my skin color with the product names. I have spent a lot of money on products that didn’t work, that I couldn’t apply, that were too complicated or were ridiculously expensive. I had heard a lot about mineral makeup and decided to take the plunge… deep into my wallet…. and try it. The day I went to Ulta, there was someone who was teaching people how to apply the Pur Minerals system (primer, 4 in 1 powder, bronzer, blusher, and lip gloss). He selected the “light” foundation color for me and green primer, which tones down the redness… I loved how it looked– and it was quite simple– so I bought everything he said I needed. To the tune of about 125 bucks. But, I have to say, it was worth every single penny. The 4 in 1 Pressed Foundation includes SPF 15, concealer, foundation color, and I guess the 4th thing is pressed finishing powder? My routine is easy enough that I can do it in about 10 minutes. After I quickly apply primer, I load the kabuki-style brush by swirling it in the compact. I then make small circles all over my face to get good, even coverage. I then load the bronzer onto the same brush and apply in the hollow below both cheek bones and lightly sweep across my jaw line and at my hair line. I then load that same brush with a small amount of blush and dust the apple of my cheeks. I top it off with a Pur Minerals rose lip gloss that I love. Add a little eyeliner and neutral eye shadow and I am done!If it took longer, I wouldn’t do it!The compact is a little expensive, but I’ve been using my current one since January (6 months) and it still has quite a bit of life left in it. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that a new brush should be included in the purchase price for the powders. It seems ridiculous to have to pay another 20 dollars for the appropriate applicator. Luckily, my Pur brush has put up with almost daily applications for all three products, and is going strong. I wash with a mild shampoo every 3 months or so, and rinse it thoroughly then let it air dry.The SPF 15 works pretty well, though I wouldn’t depend on that solely if I was going to spend an extended period of time outdoors.I’ve been using these products for about 2.5 years, in that time, I’ve only purchased 3 primers and maybe 5 compacts and two each of the blush and bronzer (from starter kits) and lip gloss. I apply the products almost every day and am not a heavy makeup person, so that should give a good idea of how long-lasting the products are. They also make a “starter kit” where you can get smaller sizes of the main products and the brush (no lip gloss). They last 4 to 8 months (4 in 1 about 4 months, the blusher and bronzer 8+ months).I’m hooked on Pur!
